Our President and CEO sits on the "Vision for Taylorville Committee",
Christian County Economic Development Corporation, Christian County Ag Group and The Lincoln Statue Committee.

The Greater Taylorville Chamber of Commerce provides recognition and awards:
• Member of the Quarter Award (includes newspaper and radio advertising valued at $500).
• Ribbon Cuttings for new members and new facilities (includes newspaper and radio advertising valued at $400).
• Celebrates “Chamber Week” in local media promoting GTCC members.

› Promotes Taylorville with the Annual Chillifest. On Chillifest weekend, we attract 10,000-12,000 people to the square.

› Co-ordinates and maintains the Community Calendar keeping the community informed and prevents duplication of events.

› Publishes the Taylorville City Map with discounted advertising opportunities for Chamber members.

› Promotes members doing business with other members, some offer special discounts.

› Administers the Greater Taylorville Chamber of Commerce Gift Certificate Program at no cost to participants. Since September of 2000 the
program has had an economic impact of over $1,000,068. The Chamber keeps local dollars in our community.

› Sponsors the quarterly Business Leadership Series luncheons and seminars.

› Was instrumental in establishing the “Leadership Excellence Achieved by Design” program.

› Sponsors the “Choices” program for Freshman at Taylorville High School.

› Was a key player in electrifying the square and the Decorate the Square Campaign.

› Promotes Taylorville and members weekly on Chamber Chat, heard on WTIM radio.

› Hosts the Annual Banquet, normally held the first Friday in May.
