The Chamber office is open Monday through Friday from 9am-12pm & 1pm-5pm.
The Chamber is a public relations firm for Taylorville and its businesses. We reply to inquiries about our community and offer general information concerning Taylorville.
We serve as a referral center, recommending ONLY Chamber members to our many callers. Every inquiry is answered fully, promptly, and courteously, creating favorable impressions about our community and your business.
GTCC Scholarship Deadline is February 10, 2011 by 4:00pm.
Three college scholarships are currently available to high school seniors throughout Christian County. These scholarships are being offered by five local colleges that have graciously agreed to fund scholarships to high school seniors who have maintained a “C” average and meet the entrance requirements of the college to which they are applying .
The colleges and the awards they are offering are as follows:
Lincoln Land Community College — Tuition and fees for two semesters.
Richland Community College — Tuition for two semesters.
University of Illinois at Springfield — Tuition for two semesters.
Applicants may apply for only one award and those who reach the final phase of selection will be interviewed by a panel of judges.
Applications are due by 4:00 p.m. on the second Friday in February at the Greater Taylorville Chamber of Commerce office, located at 108 West Market Street 2nd Floor in Taylorville.
